Florida Zeta: Pi Beta Phi's 200th Chapter

Using our core value, personal and intellectual growth, Florida Zeta tailors the Greek life experience for its women to ensure they will graduate with the ability to better our community and ourselves. We hold a unique value to the idea of friendship and believe that these bonds are what makeup our strong sisterhood. Our chapter recognizes each individual woman, and the voice and power they bring to FL ZETA. - Hunter Dain

On the weekend of September 27th-29th, 2013, Pi Beta Phi extended their legacy at the University of Tampa during colonization weekend. There, approximately 90 girls pledged their love for Pi Phi and became the founding members for Florida Zeta.

Our angels were very excited as they walked into Fletcher Lounge and found their Bid Day shirts and goodie bags with Pi Phi merchandise. The girls were paired into families of four and started making memories under the wine and blue.

Quickly after, we started our New Member education program, where we learned more about Pi Phi and it’s values. We established a sisterhood and became closely acquainted. By the end of the semester, we were very excited for our installation, which took place in January.

Florida Zeta was officially installed on February 1st, 2014. The celebratory weekend started off with a Preparatory Service for our members and the night ended with a fabulous Cookie Shine, where members from the University of Tampa’s Greek community extended their welcome.

After our initiation, we celebrated with an Installation Banquet where family members, Pi Beta Phi's Grand Council, and staff from headquarters shared this special moment with us. It was yet another chance to continue our bonding experience and learn how Pi Beta Phi has changed the lives of women everywhere.
